This listing is for one whole 3.5lbs alpaca fleece from our 7 year old alpaca Hugo. The staple is 3 inches and the fiber is raw and unwashed. I carefully sheared this fiber myself as well as skirted it myself. I would consider this low vegetable matter. Mostly just dust which is a common alpaca trait as they love to roll in dusty dirt. We did blow ours out prior to shearing. This is for the prime blanket.

This animal is lovingly cared for in Maryland. The process of growing and shearing this fiber was done with the utmost care for the animal.
